The end of your receiver and custom molds may look slightly different from what is shown in the video. However, they will come in and out as shown.

Removing the old receiver

  1. Place your index and middle fingers underneath the receiver near the connection point, pinching your thumb and index finger together where the receiver attaches to the hearing aid.

  2. Pull the receiver firmly to detach it from the hearing aid.

Attaching the new receiver

  1. Pick up a receiver for the same ear as your custom mold. A custom mold with a red indicator needs a receiver with a red label for your right ear. And a blue indicator needs a receiver with a blue label for your left ear.

  2. Hold the mold between your fingers with the letter on the mold facing the outside. Locate the two holes on the custom molds.

  3. With the receiver’s colored label facing the top of the rectangular hole, push the receiver in firmly until it appears on the other side of the custom mold. Be careful not to insert the receiver into the incorrect hole on the custom molds as one of them is the vent for the hearing aid.

  4. Match the color on the mold with the color on the inside of the hearing aid body and attach the receiver to the hearing aid.
